Minneapolis is under siege by a serial killer known as the “Profession Killer,” who targets female victims based on the first letter of their jobs, then stages their preserved corpses per their professions before posting his exploits on social media. For Abby Carlson, a dietitian, the threat feels abstract in such a large city despite “D” still being on the killer’s list…until she finds herself drugged in the back of a van.
Detective Cal Randall, struggling with crippling anxiety, is thrust back into action from forced medical leave to help solve the case. Collaborating with the FBI, he must race against time to stop ‘PK’ before Abby becomes the killer’s final victim.
"I have yet to be anything less than delighted by Jacob Moon's books - the thrill ride just never disappoints. Though this one is a little darker than his previous novels, I enjoyed it just as much. Moon seems to have an affinity for putting in little details that you focus on, convinced that they are the final clue that will result in you figuring out the ending before it arrives...but they never do. I will not give specific examples as it would have the potential to spoil the experience for someone who might read this review before the book, but I applaud your writing talents."

"Loved this book. Great blend of historical and supernatural with a bit of romance thrown in. Couldn't put it down.”
Syndi D. (Dead Reckoning Review) goodreads
"It’s a sharply written narrative and makes the reader feel as though he is in the midst of the action that seems to be non-stop after the first few chapters....Moon is a master of his craft, and I was thoroughly impressed with his dexterity to move the story forward as scenes kept shifting. The other characters also made the story interesting, especially the African American detective, Riggins, that is true to herself and the integrity of the law she agreed to uphold."
Tell Me a Story (Furlough review) Amazon
"This book was simply stunning. I was hooked from the beginning. This debut novel follows Eddie Grassle, a young man who has just been released from a five year prison stint (for a crime he didn't commit) only to land himself back in trouble with the law, for yet another crime he didn't commit. To make matters worse, this newfound trouble prevents him from doing the one thing he wants more than anything else - meeting his son for the first time. As if that wasn't enough, Eddie is also plagued by sinister forces seeking more than justice. The tale is gripping, well-written, and absolutely took me on an emotional journey as well -I laughed, cried, and felt my heart race on more than one occasion. It offers a look at the justice system, individual choice, relationships, parenthood, and more. I fell in love with many of the characters. I couldn't ask for more! I will read everything Jacob Moon writes."
